FNF Technical Staff Grows with the Arrival of Luca Sbuelz

We are pleased to announce that the FNF technical team is expanding with the addition of Dr. Luca Sbuelz.

Luca earned his PhD at the University of Trieste, conducting research in a joint laboratory between the University and Elettra-Sincrotrone Trieste. His doctoral work focused on the commissioning of a mass-selected atomic cluster source and its application in the deposition and characterization of mass-selected clusters on two-dimensional materials, primarily graphene epitaxially grown on various substrates.

Following his PhD, he contributed to the design and commissioning of an advanced experimental setup for spectral imaging.

Currently, Luca is a Postdoctoral Researcher at CNR-IOM Trieste within the HMMBE group led by Giorgio Biasiol. His work now embraces the world of nanofabrication, with a particular focus on devices based on III-V semiconductor samples. From the outset, he has gained significant expertise across a wide range of micromachining processes and tools.

We are excited to welcome Luca to the team and look forward to the valuable contributions he will bring to the facility.
