FNF la facility di nano fabbricazione aperta nel FVG.
La facility è stata istituita da un ordine amministrativo firmato dal direttore dello IOM, Alberto Morgante, ed è divenuta operativa dal 01.01.2016.
FNF si offre da supporto per la realizzazione di micro e nano strutture a scopo di ricerca. FNF è strutturata principalmente per offrire un supporto continuativo a ricercatori di Enti, Università e imprese operanti nell'ambito del sistema Trieste, tuttavia è aperto anche a realtà esterne, e in particolare si candida ad essere il punto di riferimento per le attività di micro e nanofabbricazione per la macroregione AlpeAdria ovvero Friuli Venezia Giulia – Veneto – Slovenia - Carinzia in cui è collocata.
Gli obiettivi della facility sono tutte quelle attività con finalità scientifica e accademica, e di supporto alla ricerca di base. FNF è inoltre aperta a progetti e collaborazioni di natura commerciale e industriale: in particolare per tutte quelle attività di ricerca precompetitiva indirizzate alla comprensione di processi e alla realizzazione di prototipi. Pur non rientrando negli scopi della facility, tutte le altre finalità, anche produttive, saranno valutati nel caso vi sia esplicita richiesta da parte dei proponenti e definiti con appositi e distinti accordi.
FNF the facilityof FVG for micro- and nano-fabrication.
The facility has been established with the administrative order signed by the IOM director, Alberto Morgante, and started official operation since 01.01.2016.
FNF offer the direct access to a set of micro- and nano-fabrication tools to scientists interested to enter into the nanotechnological world and apply nano- and micro-fabrication technology to their research field. FNF is designed to offer a continuous support to scientists operating within the "Sistema Trieste"; however it is open also to users coming from other regions. In particular FNF aims at becoming the reference point for all the nano and microfabrication activities in the macro region AlpeAdria which includes Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Slovenia and Carinthia.
The aims of the facility are all these activities with scientific and academic purposes, and support for basic research. FNF is also open to projects and commercial or industrial partnerships: in particular for all the pre-competitive research activities directed to the understanding of processes and the realization of prototypes. Though not included in the facility purposes, all other purposes, including production, will be assessed if there is an explicit request by the applicants and set out with specific and separate agreements.
