Daniele Ercolani has been appointed as new manager of FNF by Federico Boscherini, director of IOM.  Appointment starting date is Dec. 22, 2025 and its duration is 3 years, as per the statute of the FNF.

The previous manager, Simone Dal Zilio, has been confirmed as member of the managment board, after having steered the FNF for many years since its creation.  The other members of the managment board (Silvia Nappini and Giorgio Biasiol) have been confirmed.

Daniele Ercolani has served in a similar role in Scuola Normale Superiore NEST laboratory cleanroom for many years, before moving to CNR-IOM in 2024. He has an extensive scientific record in semiconductor epitaxy, particularly of III-V nanowires, and micro and nanofabrication. Hes expertise ranges from UV to electron beam lithographies, wet and dry etching, thermal, e-gun, sputtering and ALD deposition, AFM, SEM, and micro- and nano-metrology, in partucular to build devices around transfered nano-objects (nanowires, nanosheets, graphene).
